Our Neck Gaiters Are
Certified | UPF 50+ Protection
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (both UVB and UVA) a fabric allows to reach your skin. For example, a UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 percent of the sun's rays and allows two percent (1/50th) to penetrate, thus reducing your exposure risk significantly.
*All neck gaiters are not made the same. Most do NOT have UPF50+ protection. B-Driven Sports Neck Gaiters are Certified UPF50+.
What is the difference between UPF & UV Protection?
SPF is a standard used to measure the effectiveness of sunscreen. SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. It measures the amount of time it takes for sun-exposed skin to redden, while UPF measures the amount of UV radiation that penetrates a fabric and reaches the skin.
Is UPF clothing safe?
UPF clothing is the single most effective form of sun protection against the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. It does not rinse off, it cannot be diluted, it does not need reapplied and it can't be applied incorrectly, with too thin a layer or missed spots, like sunscreen lotions.
What is UPF50+?
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and is a rating system to indicate the UV (Ultraviolet) protection provided by fabrics. B-Driven Sports products that are rated UPF 50+ offer excellent UV protection. B-Driven Sports Neck Gaiters are rated UPF50+.
